Quietly confident going into 96/7, we were obviously an improving team, don't think anyone expected THAT though

think we all lived in hope that season even after the bad start. same as in danny,s years. going back further to the 66/7 championship side. expectations then were very high but not like they are now. hope we are not getting a bit city like with nothing but being top will be satisfactory.

If we pick up injuries this season as we did last we could quickly become threadbare. Regardless we could do with an attacking midfielder to bring presence to the middle of the pitch and another striker as 2 up top and one on the bench gives us no wriggle room re injuries and suspensions.

Suffolk Hatter, that’s exactly what we need and I have been provocating for, only to be shouted down.

And they can’t send him back. He landed heavily on his head last week in a friendly & his contact lens cut into his eye, ended up in A&E

Another good signing and a box to box midfielder, just need a striker to cover for CJ. Our Squad 20/8/21 GK Hinchliffe • Ross RB Minihan • Southam-Hales LB Kitching • Rydel • Pye CD Hogan • Barclay CD Palmer • Fish DMF Keane • Collar RMF Whitfield • Raikhy AMF Rooney • Croasdale CF Madden • Quigley AS Reid • JenningsC LMF Newby • Walker There is no further news on our interest in Leeds youngster Robbie Gotts as Salford who had him on loan last season are another club looking at him. Robbie is available on a loan or permanently and although we are a division lower, playing for County is a much more exciting attraction with our future plans and fan base. the72.co.uk/247062/oldham-athletic-salford-city-keeping-tabs-on-leeds-uniteds-robbie-gotts/

SW said as much on Weds night. You have listed Raikhy as a right sided midfielder even though the club announcement clearly states he’s a central midfielder. You also have Croasdale listed as an attacking midfielder, have you seen us play before?

We certainly cannot just rely on Quigley being our main front man for the season and as I said in pre season we need an extra body in. Last season we ended with Madden, Reid, Cardwell, Bennett and Williams. Now we have Quigley, Madden and Reid. Two get injured and we will need another body, so why wait till then. Let’s bring in someone we want now. Many suitable deputies have moved on to other clubs this summer. Is there a suitable u23 prospect available for Wilson and co. Everton’s youngster, Dobbin knows where the back of the net is. Whoever we get we should have someone getting used to us in training that knows how we play. Hope we don’t wait until Madden or Reid joins Quigley on the sidelines before we look at what’s available. Remember we lost Madden at a crucial stage last season with no back up cover! So hopefully we will act soon before points are lost because of our inadequacy to address the situation! Wrexham looking to strengthen further and didn’t know their was a transfer deadline on Tuesday in this league? www.leaderlive.co.uk/sport/19545236.wrexham-boss-still-hasnt-finished-transfer-market/
