Interesting article, although 30% of ST holders not turning up is alarming, the folk up there must really have money to burn!

Interesting article, although 30% of ST holders not turning up is alarming, the folk up there must really have money to burn! Tbf it's a claim being made by the same dickhead Chairman who's advocating moving to a new ground with lower capacity. I'm calling bullshit. Good to see many football clubs are still run by idiots. Also: "It's all about the maximising the capital investment." Urgh. f*ck off.

Aberdeen has a lot of blokes on the rigs working two weeks on and two weeks off which probably explains the 30% not turning up. Spent two years up there and our football team had half the team replaced every two weeks as they went to the rigs

Weird logic. Why not have a scheme to allow season ticket holders to sell their ticket onto someone else, if they can't attend? Then do the type of work County do in the schools / community to get the extra numbers?

Aberdeen are a notoriously fickle support. Only really turn up for their big Derby against Rangers, in which there'll be 2-3000 Rangers fans anyway. Even when they're successful, like under Mcinnes recently doesnt seem to change things

I imagine like the rest of Scotland too many go off to support Celtic and Rangers.

Even when they're successful, like under Mcinnes recently doesnt seem to change things Think at the moment there are many clubs whose grounds are too big for them more than the ones that need expansion. Nothing worse than going to a game with a less than half full stadium and its worth having a sold out sign being put out a couple of times a season just to keep the atmosphere better in the other games.

Rail Seating in the news again today Given the atmosphere generated in EP over the last few games and the problems with fans standing(heated exchanges sometimes) I hope the new Owners are seriously thinking of introducing this system in any future development of EP I just makes sense

Gives fans a choice then.

I thought we'd have heard something by now regarding plans Sure it was said at the forum in August Stott wanted ownership by November 2021, that’s obviously not happened. From what I’ve been told, or what I was told in early November, the council hadn’t seen any plans for the redevelopment. That’s not to say they don’t exist, and they may have seen them since, but they hadn’t back then. Or not in any official capacity anyway.

Waiting like patience on a monument for the big f*ck off new stand plans. Going off this season it needs to be quite a bit more urgent.
Boxing Day under the stand was chaos. There’s going to be a few more like that if we keep the wins up.

Yup.
We are increasingly needing a big stand on the pop side.
The problem with the Cheadle End is that it's the only 'modern' stand with proper facilities. This means that you get the day trippers, the old boys who just want to sit and watch the game and the younguns who want to stand and shout all game mixed in with each other. It's always absolute carnage when we get a big crowd.
I think a big modern stand would mean a lot of the older people and sitters would probably move to the new stand as the view would be better and they wouldn't have compromise on facilities. A lot of the day trippers and families would also go in this stand for the same reason. This would leave the CE a lot more free for people who want to stand and sing - it will cut out a lot of these "you're in my seat" & "sit the f*ck down" type arguments we see at the bigger games.

There’s going to be a few more like that if we keep the wins up. Getting in the ground itself was also hard work for that and the Bolton game, we got there earlier than normal as we knew it was a big crowd but still it took ages, especially the Alty game as not all the turnstiles were open so something there needs looking at, I'm not sure why it seems to take so long as everyone has to have a ticket so no money is involved to sort out as far as I know. I won't even entertain going under the Cheadle End at all these days because it's just chaos.

Come on Mr Stott, time to announce plans for Stadio Edgeley. Looking forward to buying my season ticket in the Jimmy Gannon Upper Stand row ZZZ seat 968. We may need a bigger score board though for us seated in the gods.
