Waiting like patience on a monument for the big f*ck off new stand plans. Going off this season it needs to be quite a bit more urgent. Boxing Day under the stand was chaos. There’s going to be a few more like that if we keep the wins up. Getting in the ground itself was also hard work for that and the Bolton game, we got there earlier than normal as we knew it was a big crowd but still it took ages, especially the Alty game as not all the turnstiles were open so something there needs looking at, I'm not sure why it seems to take so long as everyone has to have a ticket so no money is involved to sort out as far as I know. I won't even entertain going under the Cheadle End at all these days because it's just chaos. Lol I remember that bolton game. Traveling from North Leeds I have to go through Bradford which takes ages. We've also bought a huge estate which is a pain to park an edgeley is busier during midweek as people tend to be at home rather than a weekend residents tend to be out. So I got to the ground at 7.15. Walking from Cheadle end car park there was a huge queue for first set of turnstiles (I assume these were the extra ones put in when the Cheadle end was built). I waltzed past that lot and went to the Cheadle end turnstiles next to the main stand and got in within about 30 seconds sniggering "day trippers" as I entered the ground.

That's the way I go in as I walk in from Davenport so come in that way but for the Alty game even though when we got there at 2.30 the queue didn't look that big it took 25 minutes to get in for some unexplained reason, it just seems like hard work this season for some reason!

Agreed, part of the problem is that there isn't a great deal of room under the CE, the concourse itself only takes up the room underneath UT2-4 (the part through the doors), the rest is toilet and stairs access. So when we get a big crowd, like Bolton and Alty, it's carnage down there. The queuing system works better than it used to, but they obviously snake round from both sides and leave little room for people to get through. I suppose quicker service would help, but other than that I guess we'll have to get used to it. As far as the turnstiles are concerned, having them all staffed and open would help. Stewards being attentive and directing people to shorter queues would help too.

Touch wood, I haven't had a problem this season. Bolton, we noticed the shorter of the two queues and was in within a few minutes of arriving, same with Alty, once they opened another turnstile we were one of the first in through there. As I mentioned above, when they're expecting a big crowd why the hell don't they have all the turnstiles open? As RTTH said there isn't any money changing hands, just scanning tickets, you could get one of the stewards to do it if they're short staffed.

The speed of service certainly needs sorting out on the pop side, it’s a shame, the quality has vastly improved, the staff are bright and cheerful, but the speed is deadly slow, it’ll be costing them in sales.

That happened when there was only one gate open to enter the main earlier this season. Hope any new development will make the gates a bit wider for quicker entrance and before anyone asks, no i,m not a fat git. Then is a turnstile needed anyway when scanning tickets. Surely tmaking it even quicker. scanning machine if it does not already do it could be used to count fans in

It wasn't helped by a load of pissed up fans trying to push in at the front. For the Boxing Day game we were in a queue for a fair while, when we got near the front we realised there was a middle turnstile with no queue so jumped into that one. Someone suggested to one of the stewards they might want to tell people queuing about it and they wouldn't bother. It does need better organisation for bigger crowds.

Come on Mr Stott, time to announce plans for Stadio Edgeley. Looking forward to buying my season ticket in the Jimmy Gannon Upper Stand row ZZZ seat 968. We may need a bigger score board though for us seated in the gods. You'll be able to see the scoreboard on the touchscreen LED display on the back of the seat infront. It's where you order your food and drinks to be delivered to your heated, padded seat.

What are people expecting from the proposed expansion? Something along the lines of Barnsley or Wycombe for the Pop Side? And what about the reservoir problem or is there even room to fill the corners in there?

And what about the reservoir problem or is there even room to fill the corners in there? There’s loads and loads of space behind the pop side. They could fill in half the reservoir a piece of piss too. We need to see a 6/7000 two tiered stand with all the trimmings to take us into the modern era and cater for the growing crowds. Aside from the very good CE refurb and reseating the RE, we’ve not had a major ground upgrade in 27 years. It’s way, way overdue. Tbh I thought we were already in motion for this, but nothing since the early days talk.

Yup. We are increasingly needing a big stand on the pop side. The problem with the Cheadle End is that it's the only 'modern' stand with proper facilities. This means that you get the day trippers, the old boys who just want to sit and watch the game and the younguns who want to stand and shout all game mixed in with each other. It's always absolute carnage when we get a big crowd. I think a big modern stand would mean a lot of the older people and sitters would probably move to the new stand as the view would be better and they wouldn't have compromise on facilities. A lot of the day trippers and families would also go in this stand for the same reason. This would leave the CE a lot more free for people who want to stand and sing - it will cut out a lot of these "you're in my seat" & "sit the f*ck down" type arguments we see at the bigger games. Any Popside development should include plenty of safe standing for those in there who like to stand. Day-trippers can stay in the Cheadle End.

Would make more sense to me to install rail seats in the Cheadle End Upper Tier once the new pop side is built.
