I've always thought the lower tier of the Cheadle End would make a great terrace.

What are people expecting from the proposed expansion? Something along the lines of Barnsley or Wycombe for the Pop Side? And what about the reservoir problem or is there even room to fill the corners in there? I see something of the likening to Tottenham’s new ground but with a few less seats (can always expand when we hit the championship). The LED touchscreens are a good shout. Heated seating surely a consideration too.

Any Popside development should include plenty of safe standing for those in there who like to stand. Day-trippers can stay in the Cheadle End. Would make more sense to me to install rail seats in the Cheadle End Upper Tier once the new pop side is built. Popside, Railway End and Cheadle End should all have rail seats installed. Pound for pound there are plenty of noisy fans in the Popside who would want to stand (and indeed do stand). The only stand where I can see no appetite for standing is the Main Stand. Before the Cheadle End everybody stood on the Popside, so view doesn't really come into. The Popside really isn't some sort of "sit down and be quiet" stand and shouldn't be treated as such.

Come on Mr Stott, time to announce plans for Stadio Edgeley. Looking forward to buying my season ticket in the Jimmy Gannon Upper Stand row ZZZ seat 968. We may need a bigger score board though for us seated in the gods. You'll be able to see the scoreboard on the touchscreen LED display on the back of the seat infront. It's where you order your food and drinks to be delivered to your heated, padded seat. One of the new-ish NFL stadiums, Levi's Stadium, I think, has this kind of thing.

And what about the reservoir problem or is there even room to fill the corners in there? There’s loads and loads of space behind the pop side. They could fill in half the reservoir a piece of piss too. We need to see a 6/7000 two tiered stand with all the trimmings to take us into the modern era and cater for the growing crowds. Aside from the very good CE refurb and reseating the RE, we’ve not had a major ground upgrade in 27 years. It’s way, way overdue. Tbh I thought we were already in motion for this, but nothing since the early days talk. Yeah, there is a lot of land behind the pop side, towards the Arthur's Gate end, I assume the council owns it. Like the rest of the ground, accessing it isn't easy. Filling in part of the reservoir might meet with opposition from local residents and the anglers who use it.

We only need a quarter of it and no one uses it anyway. There was talk on here that Stott had said he’d invest in doing up the other Sykes reservoirs and surrounding areas in return wasn’t there?

Would make more sense to me to install rail seats in the Cheadle End Upper Tier once the new pop side is built. Why not both? I prefer side views and prefer to stand. No reason a new Popside couldn’t have rail seating and the Cheadle End get some put in too.

Back in the old days when the pop side was double what it now is the reservoir was not a problem. Getting into it was as you had to walk through the RE to get to it. No point building a massive stand when access is limited as it could be.

There always seems to be some great crested newts appear when want to acquire these sort of things, ive never seen one!....Stott said to me at forum he would invest couple hundred grand in Alexandra Park and the like to sweeten the deal if he needed to

The deal needs to get done the council should be picking up on the buzz created around the football club at the minute and the town it represents and help that to continue by approving that bit of reservoir he needs
