Looks amazing, but just like when you paint a wall at home, it makes the rest of the stand look like it could do with some cladding. I hope they do the sides too (or at least the one visible from Hardcastle Rd). They’ve done the exit from the CE at the back near the Popside so I imagine it will all be done.

You can see the fixings for the cladding on the side that fronts onto Hardcastle Road.

They aren’t pissing about. I reckon they’ll reseat the Cheadle End at some point too. I really can’t wait for new stands. Not to piss on chips, but always envisaged a big stand and main entrance at Booth St rather than old people’s flats. But once we’ve bought that dilapidated Bungalow we’ve still got space to do something good. And despite dicksplash previous owners foregoing a big new FREE Pop Side over greed and stupidity, we should have both in the next few years.

Still seen a few divs moaning about it already. just do not get these people. first impressions really count. imagine you are a player that jim wants to sign. they drive into the car park and see the new frontage. they must be really impressed for a start and its one step closer to actually signing the player who maybe looking for an excuse to sign and not one not to sign. You’re quite right; in the past I remember reading stories occasionally about managers trying to get players signatures on contracts before they got anywhere near the ‘stadium’. Can’t remember the details, but a Halifax manager signing a player at the station rather than The Shay was definitely one such case.

Was it Jack Connor who was signed in the foyer of a Bradford cinema?

Looks a better shade of blue in these pictures than in the computer generated one too. That’s looking great to me.

I'd love to return to that slightly darker shade of blue, such as the 01/02 home shirt, instead of the lighter shade we've used in recent years

Late TFG/Diadora shade is about right for me. Unfortunately I couldn't get my phone camera to do justice to the difference in shade between the Patrick and the others here but you can really see how light our recent kits have been next to these earlier ones.

Bloody hell, I know the Joma kits have been lighter but you compare that to those others you realise how light it is! The diadora is the most recent home shirt I have until the Champions shirt so I don't know when we drifted to such a light shade but yeah, it's quite the change. It's even clearer in real life as well. The Patrick is a very different blue in a way that isn't clear in the photos at all. It's much more navy than County blue. I do wonder if part of the problem is that according to the font of all knowledge (wikipedia) there are three different shades of blue called Royal Blue. There's the "traditional" and "pantone" royal blues which are dark blues that lie somewhere between the Patrick and the Diadora and then a lighter shade that was selected as the "web color" for Royal Blue. Which isn't quite as light as the Joma but is lighter than the Diadora and TFG.
