Think Matt Wynne has to remember he represents the interests of Edgeley, & not Moscow Rd, & that for every resident who is objecting, there is a business that the club & fans help to keep alive for 10 months of the year. Would be good if some of those businesses started speaking out in favour of the redevelopments

Would be good if some of those businesses started speaking out in favour of the redevelopments Convenient that this councillor taking an interest in opposing EP development also lives on Bergara Close. For the record that is published on his own website, I’m not being a c*nt and doxxing someone.

Would be good if some of those businesses started speaking out in favour of the redevelopments I get the overwhelming sense from him that he’s supportive of the development. It was awkward when they put him on the spot, reminding him that they voted him in, but he was pretty straight with his answer in that he can’t say whether he’s personally for or against at this stage (assume due to the fact that he sits on the council), but that there’s not much of a chance of the plans being halted because of their opinion.

They only need to look at their takings on a match day and compare them to a non match day for a start. Its not just pubs and food outlets either and i imagine most of us have used other castle street shops before or after games to pick the odd thing up where we,d have gone elsewhere if a match was not on.

Ive just seen scunthorpe are moving away from glandford park and building a new stadium, I've no idea what it will cost them to do that but they have just aquired 19 acres of land.

Think land is fairly easy to come by up there and not so costly. They said it was going to be a town centre ground also, but as you said it will be cheaper and more easily found than for us. Have not been to glandford park for years but it certainly had not aged well and looked worse than the old show ground looked on their last game there.

Looks like he's got a bird's eye view of the new developments There's been filming/motion capture for the FIFA games done at EP, so perhaps it's related to that. EDIT: Replies say school cup finals.

Liam Cash hard at work On the SIS pitch
The first action in any pitch renovation will be to remove the existing herbage. This is completed by using a machine known as a field top maker fitted with a UNIVERSE® Rotor. This is the only machine which should be used for this operation. This process can be carried out by clubs in house if the equipment is available or by employing specialist sports pitch contractors.
The aim of the process is to remove the herbage/organic layer, leaving only the clean rootzone beneath, ready for re-seeding.
I hope they remove that slippy plastic grass in front of the DB stand It will cause an injury to a player soon if it hasn't already

Other than that our pitch was absolutely pristine from start to finish last season, credit to Liam & his staff. That sand pit we had when Sale Cuckoos were here is just a distant memory.

The pitch was top class last season. Liam, the rest of the grounds team and the club do a great job. It's a real source of pride for me as a supporter.. I think it does resonate more after living through Sale Squatters era and being a bit embarrassed about the state of the pitch with those fat f*ckers rolling on it every other Friday night.

The turnaround is incredible too; think back to how bad it still was in January 2021 against West Ham in the cup. From that point on, it's gone from strength to strength and is easily one of the best playing surfaces outside of the Championship.
