Looking great this. Would be good if the club had a presence on castle Street or in stockport Town centres as well

Good to see some former would-be local rivals are following our lead:

Safe standing at EP?
Well, no, but I see Chelsea of all people are going down this route in a fairly big way. From their website news page:
Rail seating installed
A further upgrade to Stamford Bridge that we are pleased to announce is the installation of rail seating in the Matthew Harding Lower and Shed End Upper and Lower tiers.
This change, which will be ready for the 2021/22 season subject to approval by the Sports Ground Safety Authority (SGSA) and its Safety Advisory Group (SAG), will enhance supporter safety by replacing the current seats in those sections of the stadium.
The decision is the result of many months of consultation with the SGSA and Hammersmith and Fulham Council, as well as work with independent architects to find the optimum solution for Stamford Bridge.
While the change will result in a loss of just over 500 seats in the areas concerned, we have decided to act now in order to be ready and prepared for any future government decision to introduce safe standing in Premier League stadia.
Season ticket holders who wish to move seats from these areas will be able to make an application when the renewal period opens. Information on this renewal period will be communicated to season ticket holders over the coming weeks.
We are excited to welcome you back to live football at a loud and improved Stamford Bridge next season!

Block of seats ripped out in RE to make way for new ones, along with a new super duper scoreboard in time for fans return on 22nd. (According to commentary today)

Re the Railway end: given that the seats will have all been replaced, AND the new scoreboard fitted, does that suggest we should expect nothing more at that end for the foreseeable future?
And that if/when the question of expanding capacity comes up, it'll be the Pop side that is done first? That would probably make sense, as it's the one stand with a sizeable amount of space behind it, and thus has immediate potential for improvement.
If so, it might be a good idea to learn from past experience and fit covers over the Railway end seats, to help keep them clean and prolong their life...

agree with both points. keeping the RE seats covered on non match days will add to their life. its just finding people to do this really exciting task of uncovering is the problem.

Good point & i think that's probably the case with the RE, Why waste time & money fitting a new scoreboard & seats if a redevelopment is imminent? I'm happy with the work done so far & can't wait to get back to E.P. to see it first hand but i'm not expecting any major ground developments in the near future. Got a feeling things on that front are going to slow down & tie in more with progress on the pitch. If we regain our football league status this season or next then things may change but whilst we're stuck in the NL I can't see any major changes being made in terms of new stands being built or capacity extended.

I guess the scoreboard can be relocated and seats re-used depending how weather proof they are. It has been very quiet on that front although given recent history they'll probably built it first and then tell us about it.

agree with both points. keeping the RE seats covered on non match days will add to their life. its just finding people to do this really exciting task of uncovering is the problem. The most sensible covering solution would surely be to use them as big advertising boards again, just one big cover per block which only gets removed when the stand is needed.

EP is big enough now for current home fans and the away ones we,d get in this league and division 2. seeing and hearing plans for the future would be nice to see though.

Agree with regards to capacity, but I'd suspect Stott will want to develop the ground sooner rather than later for better corporate stuff like boxes etc.
