He’s already spent loads with the much needed updating of the CE and Main Stand so far.
Pretty sure we’ll see the Pop Side redeveloped next, hopefully ASAP. Big f*ck off stand with tip top facilities to take us further on our way.

Talking of facilities, then what is there in the RE these days? Obviously there's some bogs(assume as you go in), but what about food hut? Is there one tucked away in the corner near the popside? Or is it a temporary one whenever that stand is in use?(probably only a handful of times in the last 5 years)
Also, what is there in the popside? Are there many food huts at the back? And what about the family section? Anything special in those 1st 2 blocks? Are they trusted to drink alcohol in the popside yet?(pretty sure I read a while ago that alcohol is only available in the CE)

With a fence up at the back to segregate that food hut.

No booze in the pop, there's a couple of refreshment kiosks behind. There must be toilets and catering on the Hardcastle Road side of the Railway End aren't there? Last time I was in there was for the Athletico Bilbao game.

Agree with regards to capacity, but I'd suspect Stott will want to develop the ground sooner rather than later for better corporate stuff like boxes etc. You'd imagine so, but I can't see him pumping the sort of cash in to do that, while not owning the asset. Although it is rumoured that the council want him to prove he’s in it for the long haul before they’re willing to sell, so he’s going to spend money (and already is doing) to prove that.

That's what I typed first, before mis-correcting myself! It means a lot to the Basques after all they went through under Franco. The Spanish dictator forced them to change their name to the Spanish Atlético and is synonymous with his often bloody attempts to erase the Basque identity.

what stops me going into the pop side is having to trail all round the back of the CE and then down hardcastle rd. to get to my parking spot. much better when you entered and exited via the RE like the old days.

Drove down Mercian way early and caught a quick sight of several workmen possibly on a gantry around the scoreboard. Anyone seen anything in relation to the new scoreboard, any pictures ?
Guess we might see some progress on tomorrow’s stream.

Dunno if it's been questioned on here alright (OK..I cba finding this in the 74 page thread..)
But is anyone else a bit puzzled as to why Stott's not put a roof on the RE, or if this is in any future plans?
Just seems a shade pointless to have need seats and a new scoreboard - only for it to remain open to the elements.
Always thought County and EP has been a very attractive away day for visitors, with the lack of shelter the only real draw back

Good to know. I do sort of question though how expensive putting a roof on that stand could be. You could argue that we may end up losing revenue by not putting a roof on it. Ergo, the addition of a cheaper solution might end up making the club a small profit. Admittedly I'm nit picking a little..
