We're having two completely new improved stands being rebuilt at the RE and Pop Side the owners have already stated this. The inside of the CE has/is being refurbished to bring it up to date. Hopefully it'll be given a lick of paint and in time they'll likely replace the seats again fully.
The biggest eyesore and letdown at the ground is the RE, even more so when it was covered and became a big advert. Horrible.

If its all about statistics and numbers which I know it shouldnt be the Cheadle End capacity is apparently 5044 and the Railway 1366 so in theory we dont need the main stand nor the Pop side to accomodate our typical avarage home gate. If our new owners want to radically develop the stadium and they are very good at property development, the site could have great potential for them. Lets hope they consult with the supporters even though they have no obligation to do so, as owners they can do what they want of course but we need to keep our history and heritage in tact thats for sure. You have to look at the bigger picture regarding capacity, the owners are maybe looking at other revenue streams such as concerts etc, not just our match day attendances.

I wonder how they’re going to get round the car parking situation. CE car park isn’t going to be sufficient if they’re wanting a 20,000 seater ground.

I believe car parking is being looked at with regards to developments. However we are a well located ground. We should be looking at things like link-ups with local bus companies, highly visible signage from the railway station, and putting together a well-publicised comprehensive travel plan.

I dont suppose they will get planning approval unless the car parking situation is completely resolved as part of the scheme and not as an afterthought.Could be park and ride I suppose especially when the tram link and bus depot refurb happens.Cant think where people could park locally though as it will all be made residents only on matchdays I suppose. Its certainly seems not to have easy solution

But it absolutely should not be superior to encouraging any one visiting Edgeley Park to come by public transport, bike, and foot as much as possible. It would do our green credentials well, and the state of the planet, it's morally the right thing to do.

I don’t think there’s many companies or car parks local to Edgeley Park that would be willing to lose a chunk on a Saturday afternoon. The second problem would be the logistics of it all and how smoothly it could be run. Nobody wants to be waiting around after the game for a bus back to their car and not everyone would be arriving at the same time. It would certainly be a black mark against my matchday experience if I was to drive.

I’d look to fill in the corner between pop side and railway end, but that would be the only one. It seems a relatively easy way to expand capacity without needing major refurbishment work if it’s done at the same time as the roof on the railway end. Of course, I may be completely underestimating the engineering challenges there... Bury had a decent filled in corner. I liked that. Reckon there could be some cheap spare seats going there too.

Might be an idea trying to work with SMBC/TFGM to get the free 300 shuttle bus back running but add EP to it's route on Saturdays?
That would have stops close to all the various car parks in the town centre.

I wonder how they’re going to get round the car parking situation. CE car park isn’t going to be sufficient if they’re wanting a 20,000 seater ground. What’s the point of a 20,000 stadium if we were only getting 8 or 9k in the Championship? Surely just improve it for now and build if possible if need be. I’d rather have a packed small ground for a big game than a half empty bigger one.

If we can get over 6,000 fans for a game against Curzon Ashton in the National League North then we could easily look at 15,000 for big Championship ties. Stop being so negative, if we think small then we won't ever make it back to that level.
Didn't anyone ever tell you we're MASSIVE 🙄😂

Bournemouth must be losing a ridiculous amount of money through gate receipts due to a restricted ground size. I’d rather have a ground that exceeds what we need.
