Although he comes across as a good bloke (for a Tory) he is apparently one of those pushing through the easing of lockdown measures.

Is anyone surprised, BJ has left a trail of confusion wherever he's been, hardly surprising that he's been moved on or sacked from every position he's held - just seems to say the first thing that comes into his head & then walks away leaving others to pick up the pieces.

Although he comes across as a good bloke (for a Tory) he is apparently one of those pushing through the easing of lockdown measures. He’s also left millions out of his so called equitable schemes. I’m fed up of being told how much more generous the SEISS is when compared to the furlough scheme when I received £41 in phase 1 and will receive around £36 in phase 2. If it was equitable with the furlough scheme I’d receive something like £2,100 in phase 1 and £1,700 in phase 2. Still not remotely reflective of the work I’ve lost but closer.

I just think he's done a couple of decent things in his early tenure. Of course, he's now concerned with the finances. Understandably so. Because it's what's likely to sink the Tories over the next few years (ie. when they hit us with austerity again).

It's not surprising. It is all about the presentation and #### all to do with the reality. Hancocks half hour of fame will be his 100,000 tests of which over 40% were (apparently) sent out in the post. Johnson committed to 200,000 by Monday. In all honesty do we think they will hit the target? We were told previously that specific criteria had to be met before we eased lockdown, We've not met it. When we say we are following the science? From Care Homes, Volunteers, PPE, Testing, Lockdown restrictions, abuse and loopholes, inaccurate statisitics, schools reopening, return to work, the transport infrastructure, exercise and travel restriction plus others i don't trust the message. We do our own thing and stay in as much as possible. It's the only way we feel safe. I'm sure there are others who feel the same.

I practically fell off my chair when Sunak a few moments back stated "we've protected our NHS". Then, coincidentally, the next article was about the death of an NHS Porter down in Southampton. Laughable. If it wasn't so bloody sad.

Apart from Rishi Sunak.I have no confidence in any other Tory mp He’s no better than the rest of them. There are gaping holes in his system and I’m one of 3 million people who isn’t entitled to anything. I’ve worked for 15 years and always paid tax and NI but haven’t received a penny in months but that silver-spooned tosser doesn’t give a shit.

It'll be a mystery to the likes of Johnson and Cummings why you can't just dip into your trust fund, these are the people after all who changed the rules to allow your cleaner, nanny and gardener to enter your house before your family.

I'd guess (hope!) that the actual tracking app the gov't put forth is something that's been outsourced and made by professional devs; I don't think this person's work was meant to be on the software itself since they say the role applied for is 'customer service adviser'. Sounds to me like their role would be one of those 'chat with a real human being' chatroom roles. The actual tracing doesn't need to be complicated: IIRC the system they have in Korea is people give their number to the local authority, who'll send them a text message when there's news of a new case, giving details of the infected person's recent movements. No geolocation involved. (I think that most tracking-cynics would prefer that sort of system, but you'd have to bear in mind the Koreans could lock down & isolate effeciently from early on; it would be much more difficult over here since the gov't decided from the beginning not to bother getting a grip on the outbreak, so it could be easily overwhelmed)

The contract tracers are ringing people up who have tested positive and then ringing up the people who have been in contact with them. And we could have the app that everybody else is using up and running by now but we’ve decided to make our own so it’s taking longer and the experts in that field seem to mainly prefer the one we could have had weeks ago.
