Interesting how it's only 16 NL clubs, along with 16 PL2 sides.... Not sure how they were selected.

Yeovil boycotted it not sure about anyone else though Eastleigh did too. Well done them. The desperation of the Premier League to get games for their kids' teams and the eagerness of EFL and NL clubs to appease them is verging on the pathetic.

Just watched the highlights of radcliffe being defeated by bury in the 3rd qualifying round of the FA Cup. Radcliffe had a defender called Pye. Any relation to our Ethan i wonder.

Didn't know which thread to post this in, it might be of interest to some people as there were a lot of rumours at the time.
Went for the Non League thread as I think it was probably more relevant to our last season in the NL rather than the current Chesterfield team and club that is in the FL.
The James Rowe saga did contribute to Chesterfield's drop off, that and Tshimanga's injury. People forget they were the main challengers for a good majority of the great November-May run. Wrexham only really became the main challengers in the late March from I what I remember.
And to add to this, Fylde (who don't and never will belong in any Football League thread) and their nutcase owner appointed him despite knowing all this.

That 2-2 against Chesterfield was superb.
I think I'd still be celebrating now if Quigley had got one the end of Crankshaw's cross, was literally the last kick of the game.
There was that big furore about our potential goal at the Cheadle End too, I'm still not having the ref/liner can confidently give that.
Another detail I remember is MSG chasing a pointless ball back to their keeper, not really putting him under any pressure, but then being out of position for their second. Challinor called him out on it, something like 'a vanity run'.
Highlights are great.
