Would be a real statement of intent, fill the gap nicely whilst Wootton is out but could also form a fearsome duo once Wootton is back. Talk of 500k is ridiculous though, 250k tops. Load it up with clauses, if we get into league 1 and he scores goals in league 1 they can have their 400k+ |

A well-placed colleague with Harrogate connections is concerned about us taking Luke Armstrong. Wrexham are thought to be involved as well but he seems to think our name is in the hat for him too. Said it last week but I'd love to see him here. Apparently some Harrogate fans think they'll get £500k for him, which is ludicrous. There was something like £800k spent by all teams on all players a couple of years ago, the majority of teams didn't spend anything on a player. The good thing about Armstrong is he’d fit alongside Wootton just as easily as replace him. You easily play them both together. |

We'd be silly to not be enquiring about him at the least. Wootton said at the courtyard he was a few weeks ahead of schedule but even when he's fully fit we don't want to risk overworking him. Exactly, and I think it's all but certain Paddy won't be here next season. I'll be suprised If he's here too. Was huge for us in the NL season but there was a few chances he had last season where I thought 'The National League Paddy would have scored' Would still like to see him played as a 10 at some point. |
