Seriously. The number of times I've heard that sentence about County being too good for relegation as we've toppled down the league pyramid. You ought to know better ! That said. i'm half with you. I think it would be a huge shock for us to end bottom half in fact. But, after a good start, we're now actually really dogshit. And there's no getting away from that. Almost as worrying though, DC lost the plot that last game. He panicked. I hope he doesn't make a habit of it. I don't think he will mind. We are now a quarter of the way through the season and have averaged exactly 1.5 points per game. If we maintain the same form we should finish on around 69 points. That would be top half of the table, but not good enough for the play offs. However, over the last 10 games we have only averaged 1.2 points per game. Maintain that form (two wins, six draws, two losses) and we finish with around 59 points, which would be comfortably clear of relegation in mid table. We could do with a couple of wins to steady the nerves though! We've not had our mad winning run yet.

Hope I'm wrong. I do have a bit of history of being a wet in all truth so I'm sure you optimists are correct and I'm just being a bit of a Mary Ellen. I get what you mean about momentum, and we have seen it before where losing becomes a habit but I don't think were in that position at the moment. We are fairly consistent in that we are hard to beat, but struggle to score more than one goal in a game. Hopefully something will click with our formation and style of play soon.

Did smell of panic subbing the keeper at half time, should have just put Ben in for the next game. Unconscionably terrible decision I thought. Potentially career (here) ending. No idea why he did it. He's not really ever displayed a capacity for losing the plot like that in the past. Very strange. Do not think the substitution will have a long term effect on anything. The annoying part is would he have pulled an outfield player off for a poor pass that lead to a goal. What worries the most is how tetchy DC seemed to be in his last two post match interviews. Know its not an ideal time to put a microphone in front of somebody when things did not go to plan, but its happened before without him getting annoyed.

Blackpool vs wigan on sky tonight 8pm ko wigan started the better side. Playing how i think we should be playing. Always got a ball out wide for the wingers and able to find the man every time its clipped into the channel or switched. Moving the ball quick - the final third play has let them down.

I've been watching this Blackpool Wigan match on and off opening 34 minutes but my general thought is that it's a good game. It's actually stood out to me the general quality of it compared to when you watch a League Two game. And these two aren't pulling up trees in the league and we fared pretty well against both.
Just highlighting to me the general step up and why we mustn't panic.

Steven Schumacher is bookies favourite to become Burton manager.
Would be typical that they go and get a good league 1 manager weeks before we play them.

Tuned in for added time and it's been excellent. Blackpool late equaliser made by Apter and could have had a pen and shot wildly over straight after. All in added time.
Edit. Wow. Wigan players score 4 and draw 2-2. Maybe that's what we were missing against them!

I was at a game in the 70s where Chris Nicholl scored all 4 goals in a 2-2 draw between Leicester & Aston Villa at Filbert Street.
