Outside of the Premier League/Championship higher echelons there isn’t a Football Manager in the land who wouldn’t want a Club with money and an infrastructure to match the ambition of a highly motivated wealthy owner… Finding a replacement for Challinor is a piece of piss Who the hell do you think we are. We have gone feom the excitement of getting back to where we think we rightfully belong. Not happy with just playing at this new level there seems to be many still hanging on the stotts words of championship in 5 years. Possibly the same ones who laugh at the 2022 fylde crap. If we actually finished this season in the position we now are i would not mind even with DC in charge. Its not the league position but the football thats on offer is my concern. Its dull and crap in a different way that ruskball was the same. As for replacing DC, well like it or not the worlds best known football team have not done that well in replacing alex ferguson yet. Funny how well we did after sacking the unimpressive simpson and oldham and scunny did after changing theres last season. To play exciting football you need exciting footballers. I don’t think DC or any other manager could get this team as it stands scoring loads of goals or getting fans on the edge of their seats.

If we were to end up in the drop zone then I’d start to get twitchy. But equally our next five games are tough and I don’t want him getting the boot based on those - like when Jim got sacked because we lost to the champions elect in Mansfield and missed a penalty. He should at least have until Christmas. But if we’re fully in a relegation dogfight by the approach to January then I see the argument for giving the transfer window to a new manager. It’s not what I want, and I don’t think it will come to that, but performances are a worry. I understand where you’re coming from but he wouldn’t be getting the boot based on those he’d be getting it based on at that point playing around 15 games against teams of various quality and us being in the relegation zone.

I truly believe DC is at the best club for him. He wanted to come to us for 2 reasons IMO... Closer to home to be with family plus the obviously ambition and financial power we now have... The only other club he can go to with both the above is Wrexham. Tranmere dont have much money... He therefore needs and wants to get it right. I wasnt at Doncaster but told even after we conceded, we kept singing... Thats what we have to do for every game. Get behind the team, the manager and just sing. If the fans and team / manager are fragmented we wont do anything!!
"Support" when wining is easy.. "support" when losing... lets prove we are the best.

I agree that all we can really do is get behind DC and the team during games, and that's what I always think and try and do when going to the game. However it's easier said than done when a game plays out like it did against Harrogate, even the most ardent of happy clappers must've struggled towards the end of that.

Agree with what Chris B above says but you're right about the Harrogate game, it just seemed to suck the life out of everyone atmosphere wise. For all those complaining about the songs they didn't like to hear the easiest solution would of been to have collectively drown them out with positive County songs but there was hardly a murmur from anywhere throughout the game & I count myself guilty on that score as well as I pretty much stayed muted by boredom during that 90 minutes.

Any reason why you’ve bumped a thread from nearly two years ago?

Any reason why you’ve bumped a thread from nearly two years ago? I was tempted to start bumping irrelevant threads from this board's earliest days, but they're all from 2013 and are just so painfully depressing

Any reason why you’ve bumped a thread from nearly two years ago? My thoughts too, no need for it.

Interesting that Jig is Up man popped up here , and despite giving out the impression he was ITK, he clearly wasn’t.
