Hipo had a great game - he has had some stick but he is one of our most important players.
Was surprised that Chally revealed he doesn’t like LWab - think that is his best position and prefer him to Ryder (also good) as he is more physical and carries more goal threat

But for now, the discipline of playing WB seems to be bringing the best out of Hippolyte. Seems to be doing better there than when he has a free role between the middle and top.

Was good to have a 'proper' look at Tanto today. Thought he was very good all round, and brought a lot to the team. He'll be a major asset in the business end of the season. Having no Paddy would have normally been a concern, but I was really excited for Tanto, was willing the lad to score and was delighted when he did. Love Paddy to bits and hope he’s back ASAP, but if having Tanto available also reduces our reliance on Paddy when he’s not available (such as now), then that’s a really encouraging thought. Paddy's been great for us & no doubt he's a talisman but he's been a little bit below par of late measured against his own high standards. Tanto has obviously been signed to carry us forward for the next few years & IMO the more game time he can get this season the better. Paddy's not going to be around forever & Tanto & Wootton need to develop an understanding. I agree with Philcounty that it could be a very good option for us to try Paddy as a No.10 behind 2 strikers, I think that role would suit Paddy with his propensity to want to get involved in area's other than his out & out striker role. Something to consider for the future maybe?

Over 6 in terms of age. Rydel just turned 22 on Thursday. Hiippolyte is 28.

I was in the Harrogate seats, as a friend works in Harrogate and was able to get tickets through his work.
Interesting experience, a lot of the people around us didn't seem to be particularly die hard fans either. Main comments from there were how much bigger, stronger and more physically imposing we were.
First half was pretty comfortable for County, decent enough atmosphere from the County fans on the opposite side from us.
Second half Harrogate came out more, I didn't think we were too troubled until we let one in. Luckily Collar scored, and we saw the game out with little drama after that.
MOTM was between Wooton, Wright and Hippo for me. Hippo was great first half, quietened down second. Olafe looked decent, seems like he can do a bit of the hold up play as well as getting in behind. Looking forward to seeing more from him. Useful cameo from Stretton too.

We were definitely bigger and stronger than Harrogate. But agree, I felt Bradford and Wimbledon bullied us a bit in recent games.

He did it last season too. At least this time it was a little half arsed. I miss his somersault but he’s probably been told not to do it

I miss his somersault but he’s probably been told not to do it probably for the best incase it goes wrong and I feel like our players have been told not to knee slide although that sounds daft

Hippo key player for me either as RWB or a roving role . Was always puzzled why after playing so well last season he was bench warming for the start of this season. We would be comfortably top 3 if Croasdale and Hippo had started the season. Big DC fan but mini cock up back in July me thinks . We owe Crawley 3 goals for that bizarre game at theirs early season

Edit - Croasdale's effort / the first highlight. Have a look at Olaofe's run. He's in if Croasdale slides him through.
Not blaming Ryan for taking on the effort but these are the things the team needs to look for and adapt with some pace up front. He's a very different player than Madden.

The lack of depth (especially in attack), numerous reds, constant changes at the back with the new signings not working, lack of a LCB and the resulting move away from our best formation (3-4-1-2) were big factors. It definitely wasn't as a simple as DC not picking some players. Let's not forget Rydel is having a good season at LWB too (and Camps and Sarcevic were probably two of our better players in the first 10).

He was pivotal in all 3 goals yesterday but it will only go down as 1 “goal involvement”.
