I wonder how long it is until Challinor mentions that we've only ever lost by one goal this season?

Looks like he could have lost the dressing room.

The error was not really trying the back 4 pre-season. The players we have sen best suited for that lineup, but we should have investigated properly before Byrne was injured and Lewis went on loan But as an employed football league manager, why not?! All scenarios should be planned for... ALL.

I thought this response summed it up best.
The person who tweeted that is also the one who took a picture of Collar with his parents and agent in a car park and said they were talking about a deal that included an apartment.

So a very reliable source then? 🤷♂️😂 A Twitter Tw@tter. The modern day equivalent of a tittle tattler with a camera for "evidence."

Looks like he could have lost the dressing room. I hate this kind of stuff it's embarrassing and there's no way he's lost the dressing room, most of the team have known nothing but success under him and the new players are only a few games in.

It's this dressing room daddies nonsense. Jim was always at pains to point out parity in wage structure. It means that if a transfer/ player fails it didn't build resentment in the squad. The problem with the daddies model is that it doesn't work if the player isn't doing very well. It demotivates the lower paid players. Eg Croasdale look at me doing all this work and camp he's getting double to sit on his arse. I've always been a bit uncomfortable with the spending. No problem with infrastructure but Jim and other managers could have achieved what we've done on less. But it still is really days yet and we have loads of injuries and some players are coming back from injuries and we've only lost by single goals. Whilst i agree with all that i doubt those at the top of the club and many fans would not be happy with us signing rough diamonds and players that for some reason have fallen down the leagues but have potential. Fine if this stratagy worked but you can hear it now of why are we not spending when we have the money. Do not want to keep bringing accrington up but feel their owners approach of making the ground more fan friendly and building one new stand and improving the other leaving a legacy with just a bit more to the playing budget is a better way to go. Know it may have caused a relegation for them but its not the end of the world and they have a better place to watch games in.

My take FWIW... This is the manager that turned us around in the NL from 10th to Champs. He then led us to a PO final. He has only failed in 1 season at Fylde where they were struggling. Every other season he has had a challenging team.. Also we are just 5 games in! However.. The recruitment and players are irrelevant to a point as we play 1 way. Short from Ben. Across the back 3 then to a Wing back. Play around and try and get a decent cross in for a striker. With that way we obviously miss Kyle Wooton. People mocked me when i asked why we got rid of Scott Quigley!? We miss a focal point with this way of playing... As an experienced manager i do expect better subs and tactical choices especially when under the cosh. I wasnt there at Mansfield however if we were getting over ran, why did we not go to a 4-1-4-1 and smother the midfield?? We need a plan B and its hard to believe there isnt one between Dave, Clint, Dave Conlon and Jake Simpson.. Thoughts?? I agree with you pretty much entirely except on Quigley. He wasn’t the solution.

I agree with you pretty much entirely except on Quigley. He wasn’t the solution. Well it could have been. Same with bennett back in the NL. Two players who had done it before and there was not many moaning about either signing at the time. How much money have the club lost with these two signings plus the compo on JG and rusk. Why do we find it so difficult to find the solution where at the best players continue where they left off at their previous clubs but none improve. Even the two outfield players who are the first on most fans team sheet Croasdale and Wootton are the same players we signed and its hard to see where they have improved with us either.

It’s the Fantasy Football approach: sign the best you can in every position until the money runs out. Except in FF it doesn’t matter if the players in your team wouldn’t actually be able to play together coherently in real life.

Did we need camps last season or powell this one. The days of studying recruitment and what is available seem to have gone the day JG left the building. At least his mistakes if you forget pistol pete hardly cost the club much. What always surprises me with a successful business man in charge is they would never allow expensive mistakes to happen in their day to day business and are always looking for value for money. Doubt when people order stuff in his business its value for money they are looking for and not just reputations firms have.

Croasdale and Wootton are both playing at a higher level than they were when we signed them so i suppose their ability to impress against higher level opposition is in itself an improvement..

Also, we have just signed a kid on loan from Swansea. He may be a good player but we had Davenport. Its all about opinions but i though he was a very good technical player. Slightly digressing but we have about 4 staff looking at recruitment of players. They must be on at least 150K a year between them. Id say get rid of at least 2 of them. They are obviously not doing the job required.

Bordering on a criminal waste of cash.
